Source AMFI NAV History report (portal.amfiindia.com), pulled 05 Aug 2026. Every open-ended Equity and Hybrid scheme, Regular plans only — Direct-plan share classes are excluded. Growth and IDCW options are carried as separate scheme codes, as AMFI treats them.
Coverage 5,100,186 daily NAV observations across 2,490 scheme codes (1,826 Equity, 664 Hybrid) from 01 Apr 2006 to 04 Aug 2026; 1,627 codes are still reporting. 01 Apr 2006 is the genuine start of AMFI's feed — requests for earlier dates return nothing. Schemes wound up before SEBI's 2018 recategorisation carry legacy labels: treat Legacy: Diversified Equity as diversified equity and Legacy: Balanced as aggressive hybrid.
Risk methodology Standard deviation is annualised dispersion of the scheme's own returns: on the monthly basis, 36 month-end-to-month-end returns annualised by √12 — the SEBI/AMC factsheet convention; on the daily basis, day-on-day changes annualised by √252. Sharpe = (annualised return − risk-free) ÷ standard deviation. Sortino swaps the denominator for downside deviation, measured against the risk-free rate on a full-n denominator. Alpha is Jensen's; capture ratios are geometric. Category percentiles rank against live Growth-option schemes in the same SEBI category, since IDCW payouts distort measured volatility. Benchmark-relative figures depend entirely on the index series you load — use a Total Return Index, never a price index.
Caveats NAVs are net of the regular-plan expense ratio but gross of exit load, STT and tax; the Direct plan of the same scheme would have earned roughly 0.5–1.2% a year more. IDCW NAVs fall by the amount of each distribution, so an IDCW scheme's NAV chart understates its total return. Past performance is not indicative of future returns, and nothing here is investment advice.
